Charitable Sewing we help with...

Currently Ohio Star Quilts supports several organizations with charitable sewing and quilting donations.

If you are interested in helping with these volunteer opportunities, we would love to tell you more about how you can get involved!

QUILTS FOR CASA:
A Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) is a trained volunteer appointed by the County Family Court to represent the best interests of a child during a Court proceeding that involves Child Protective Services. We donate homemade quilts, pillowcases, hats, gloves, fleece blankets, and more to children in need who are moving through the foster system.
You can find out more about CASA here.

PILLOWCASES:

We collect and donate homemade pillowcases for the Oncology Department at Akron Children's Hospital.  These sites offer instructions for various pillowcase designs.

PROJECT LINUS QUILTS:
Many quilts are donated each month by our quilting friends to Project Linus, which provides quilts, afghans and blankets to children in crisis and need.
